Color coated armored aluminum strip is a functional composite metal material based on aluminum alloy strip. After surface pretreatment (degreasing, chemical conversion), it is coated with one or more organic coatings (such as polyester PE, fluorocarbon PVDF, etc.), and then cured by baking. It is mainly used as an armor protective layer for cables, optical cables, and other products, combining decorative, protective, and multi-functional identification features.

Features of Color Coated Aluminum Alloy Strip for Cable Armoring

Applications of Color Coated Aluminum Alloy Strip for Cable Armoring

Why Choose Color Coated Aluminum Alloy Strip for Cable Armoring?

Visual Identification Efficiency

The colored coating allows quick identification of cable systems, reducing installation errors.

Lightweight yet Strong

Compared with steel armor, aluminum alloy armored cable significantly reduces cable weight.

High Corrosion Resistance

5052 / 5154 alloys ensure stable performance in harsh environments.

Why Choose 5052/5154 H24 Alloy for Color Coated Aluminum Strip in Cable Armoring?

In the production process of MC cables, the armor layer requires complex high-speed interlocking processing. Our H24 temper aluminum strip provides an excellent balance of tensile strength and elongation, ensuring that the coating does not peel off and the base material does not crack during bending and locking processes.

This alloy series offers outstanding corrosion resistance, especially suitable for export marine environments and electrical protection under complex working conditions.

FAQ

What is color coated aluminum strip used for?

It is used for visual identification in MC cable armoring systems.

Does the coating affect performance?

No. It maintains full mechanical integrity while improving identification efficiency.

Which alloys are most commonly used?

5052 and 5154 are widely used due to their high strength and excellent corrosion resistance.

How does H24 temper help in armored cable processing?

H24 temper provides a balance of strain hardening and partial annealing. Its toughness ensures stable forming on high-speed interlocking armoring machines, reducing scrap rates and improving production efficiency.

Does the coating support outdoor or harsh environments?

Yes. Our color coating process uses high-polymer polyester or fluorocarbon coatings with strong adhesion and excellent weather resistance, effectively preventing oxidation and corrosion.
